THE AREA

WE KNOW RINCON.
WE CHOOSE OUR HOME FOR A REASON!
Why stay in an expensive, old, musty condo with unstable utilities in the noisy, crowded tourist zoo of Puntas or Sandy Beach (parts of Rincon) when you can stay in a brand new, spacious home for less that is very close to all the fun, yet far from the crowds?
The more that you know Rincon, the more that you'll love our home's location.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
We spent over a decade periodically searching for the perfect vacation home location, all things considered. Fortunately, we found the exact location, and we think that you’ll agree for the reasons below.
In summary, our home offers the most convenient all-around location for everything that you might want to do during your vacation. You won’t find a better value combination of location and quality of accommodations elsewhere.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
First, a bit about the neighborhood—the city of Rincon is divided into sectors. Our home is in the Corcega Beach sector just south of downtown. Specifically, our home is situated in a small, brand new, cozy, safe and quiet neighborhood consisting of eight houses on a cul-de-sac less than two miles from downtown Rincon. The only people that drive on our street are our neighbors, which are friendly locals that care about their homes, and most are fluent in both Spanish and English. Our property manager owns the home next to ours to better ensure that you’ll be well taken care of.
CLOSE TO FAMILY BEACHES AND SUNSETS

Our home is just a two-block stroll to the beach to watch gorgeous sunsets with friends and family. Note that Hurricane Maria impacted the coastline a bit, so you’ll now need to drive to take the family to the beach for the day. Fortunately, our home is a short, two-minute drive (less than one mile) to a secluded, calm and safe family beach with sand bottom. Kids are also fascinated by the small marine life that can be viewed in the tidepools just a two-minute walk down the beach to the south. Three additional, calm, sand bottom family beaches are the public beach in downtown Rincon six minutes from our home, the Marina eight minutes away and Steps Beach with a drive time of nine minutes. You can also rent snorkel gear at Steps if you want to snorkel over a protected reef a few feet offshore just to the north. We provide a cooler, umbrella, beach chairs and beach towels for your convenience. Surfers/divers, we do too, and we’ve provided you a description of our home’s distance to the best breaks and dive operator below.

CLOSE TO SHOPPING, DINING, ETC. & EXERCISE
Shopping, large grocery store, bank, great bakeries, medical facility, police station, full pharmacy, most of the best restaurants, fast food, liquor store, convenience stores, smoke shop, gas stations, hardware store—almost everything, and downtown Rincon are five minutes away or less on PR-115 that is easy to navigate. And if you’re worried about putting on a few pounds from all the great food and drink and don’t want to run or walk on the beach, the public sports complex with full track, exercise equipment, and tennis courts is a five-minute walk from our home. Plus, a gym with all you need that accepts short-term memberships is a three-minute drive.

CLOSE TO SURFING / SUP
You can paddleboard on calm water at any of the family beaches listed above including the one less than a mile from our home. Surfers (including SUP surfing), one of the primary reasons that we purchased our home is that it provides the most convenient location to get to all of the best surf spots located on the northwest corner of Puerto Rico. The breaks in Rincon (Tres Palmas, Dogmans, Marias, Indicators, and Domes) are all within eight to 11 minutes from our home. Plus, our home provides the best access to the breaks in downtown Aguadilla and near the airport on the north coast 35 minutes away (Bridges, Gas Chambers, Wilderness, Surfers Beach, etc.). Jobos and Middles are just a bit further to the east on the north coast. The reason that our home location is so convenient is that it is on the south side of Rincon away from all the traffic with very easy access back to PR-2 (the main highway) that provides a straight shot to Aguadilla and the north coast. You won’t find yourself stuck in traffic through downtown Rincon or having to drive through Aguada to get to the north breaks like you will if you stay in Puntas or Sandy Beach. Note that you can also store your boards/gear in our secure, oversized laundry and storage room so that your boards are safe, won’t bake in the sun, and you won’t have to step over or around them in the living space like you have to do in so many rentals. Plus, if you surf and travel, you know that local knowledge is key. We’ll provide you with a description of each break including best tide, swell and wind direction, which breaks are best for longboarders and shortboarders, which are appropriate for beginner to expert, entry points, currents, which breaks have more of a local vibe, and how to get to each break after you book with us. Also, if you’re interested, we’ll hook you up with the best surf instructor, surf guide operator, and best surfboard rental if you don’t want the hassle of having to bring your boards with you. Finally, we have provided a few pics of Marias on a recent 4’ to 5’ day (which happens frequently---Marias can handle one foot to triple overhead) in our photos section as an example, as Marias is very close to our home and appropriate for all surfers depending on the swell.

CLOSE TO OTHER WATERSPORTS
All of the following are less than 10 minutes from our home. Again, we’ll hook you up with all the best vendors and contact info after you book. You can snorkel over much of the coastline including very near our home, though we recommend Steps Beach mentioned above. The best scuba dive operator is also close by. We recommend this dive shop because the people that run it are consummate professionals that know all the best spots and are the only tour operator allowed to take you diving at Desecheo Island (protected marine preserve) with visibility down to 120 feet. Deep sea fishing charters, sunset boat tours, and parasailing are all available at the Marina mentioned above.

CLOSE TO ALL OTHER ACTIVITIES
Horseback riding, gorgeous waterfalls, zip lining, rappelling, bioluminescent bays, whale watching (seasonal), golf and almost everything that the west coast of Puerto Rico has to offer are located anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour away from our home depending on what you want to do. Skydiving is about an hour and 20 minutes away. Our home provides the easiest access back to the main highway that allows you to get anywhere that you want to go.

EASY ACCESS TO AIRPORTS
Whether you fly into San Juan, Aguadilla or Ponce, you will travel on the main highway (PR-2) to get to Rincon. Our home is easy to find from PR-2. Unlike other parts of Rincon, you won’t have to travel through sketchy neighborhoods or on winding mountain roads, which is key, especially when arriving late at night.
