Rules & Regulations
Thank you again for your interest in our home. We love our home and appreciate you helping us care for it. The following guidelines will make your stay more pleasant and will help us keep the rental cost down for our guests.
-
PLEASE turn off all air conditioning units when you leave the home and turn all fans on low to keep air circulating. This helps us keep the rental cost down, as electricity is very expensive in Puerto Rico. We have installed powerful air conditioning units in the home and promise that it will cool down within a few minutes once you turn them back on upon your return.
-
PLEASE do not smoke in the home. We advertise our home as a smoke-free environment, and it is difficult and costly to remove the smell of smoke. Smoking will result in the forfeiture of your entire deposit, which is not a fee that we wish to impose, as we want your stay to be enjoyable.
-
PLEASE, no pets. We love animals and understand that pets can be as dear to us as family members. However, we advertise our home as pet free due to the wear and tear on the home that pets can cause. Also, certain of our guests have allergies to pets and can be impacted even if pets were in the home during a previous guest’s stay.
-
PLEASE shake the sand out of all bathing suits and beach towels very well before placing them into the washer & dryer, as sand destroys these appliances.
-
PLEASE only place toilet paper in the toilets. Feminine products should be placed in the trash cans, as plumbing can be fragile in Puerto Rico.
-
PLEASE seal all food in containers or place in the refrigerator. We have pest control come to our home monthly to ensure your stay is pleasant. However, open food containers, fruit, sugar, etc. will attract pests very quickly, and they are hard to get rid of once they are here.
-
PLEASE do not lose the keys or we will need to charge $60 to reimburse the cost of having the locks replaced. We don’t like having to charge our guests additional money. The best method to ensure that keys are not lost is to leave them on the key hooks by the dining table when you are in the home and to place them back into the lockbox each time that you leave the home.
-
PLEASE leave your shoes on the mat by the front door so that dirt is not brought onto the tile floor. This will make your stay more pleasant.
-
PLEASE turn off the TV when you are not watching it or you leave the home. Again, electricity is expensive.
